* christmas 2005 *
sheesh! i lost a previous post...what a great xmas gift from blogger!okay...one weird christmas passed...parang hangin na biglang dumating at nawala. this probably happens as one grows older...you somewhat lost a bit of that christmas spirit. you just can't help it...as much as you don't want losing it. may factor siguro na apat na lang kami sa bahay ngayon...walang taga-kuha ng family pic. ;p
i kept myself busy for the past few days...doing last minute christmas shopping...from tiendesitas, riverbanks, megamall, and robinsons...it was tiring and fun at the same time. it's hard to choose gifts when you really put your thought into it. aside from that, i also wrapped most of the presents here. i must say it's a passion. i want everything to be really special...even gift tags are personalized.
kristian, a longtime friend since elementary, called last christmas eve. i was actually surprised to hear from him. it has been a long time since our last chat. i actually had to ask him twice as to who he was. hehe! :) disbelief, i must say. anyway, it was a quick chat. however, i do recall one important part of the conversation that night...he asked if i still want to be a nun. yun kasi yung dream ko before. i was taken aback. "depende" was all i had mustered to say. now's the time for serious thinking huh?
lately, i miss my usual night chat with God. i dunno why...i just have those usual quick prayers and sleep. call it stress or whatever...basta!
i haven't even completed the simbang gabi this time also. i'm guilty of indulging myself in watching tv...my pleasure. i guess that's better than attending mass and not meaning it all. cathe (who has completed the simbang gabi for several years now) said that a lot of people do attend mass but they just go there to chat or sightsee. at least i'm not guilty of that. just dunno if i fare better than them or what. er...i don't think that deserves some good argument.
anyway, as for the gifts i've received...it was more of money...dalawa nga lang ata binuksan namin ni cathe...ok lang naman...at least that gives us freedom to buy things that we want...hindi naman ako mapili...basta magagamit, ok na...i got coin purse (still with money in it)...and i got a panty...hehe! natawa si mart...sabi niya, bakit daw kami nagbibigayan ng panty...like duh? nasanay na kami dito eh. siguro pag brief, ibang usapan na. thus, for the past few days, we had this underwear talk...more of me butting in in cathe and mart's conversations. may ibang way pa si mart sa pagme-measure ng bra size...o diba? ;) to cathe and mart: iba na talaga pag libre ang long distance calls...pasalamat kayo sa PLDT...great upgrade from SUN's choppy cellphone calls to "musta-naman-ang-telebabad & cathe-tama-na-yan" phone calls...*wink*
like usual, we attended the 9pm mass sa chapel dito sa subdivision...the place was jam packed. like usual, nasa labas na naman kami. hindi na talaga natuto. laging late for the same excuse as before...dinner preps!
something unusual happened though. the neighbors gathered at tita yoli's place next door. everyone brought food to share...we ate together and talked. it was fun. something unconventional...neighbors came in batches. it ended late though...
so late na kami nagising the next day. may binyag sa kapitbahay so we ate lunch there. like christmas, cathe and i slept the whole afternoon. mama went neighbor hopping. as for papa, he faced the PC the whole day...literally. he has this new job...training stuff...so he's doing lots of powerpoint presentations. papa and i...we don't get along lately. a clash in personality siguro. he annoys me for lots of things...for being too busy that we can't even have a decent stroll around the metro...for being a know-it-all...but i still love him for the latter no matter what. ganito lang talaga siguro kami. i'd marry someone whose intelligence compares to papa...he reads a lot (he's into neurolinguistic programming now...he wants me to read about it pero ayoko eh)...and he's good on a lot of things (from cooking to technical stuff...i bet he can build a house if he wants to)...i believe no one can compare to him. i do make life not easy for the both of us but i learned my lesson...sabi nga sa telenovela...we make our own lives miserable by choice...tayo rin yung makakapagpabago rito. i never thought i'd learn that from a telenovela.
i told myself i'd do schoolwork for the next few days...but i think we'll be going out on the 28th. tapos, papa bought a whole set of jewel in the palace dvds. yesterday, he watched it with me til 4am...haha! hindi ako nasaway...;)
