I had a bad case of diarrhea last week and I'm just glad it's over. Tina diagnosed it as a case of EHEC (E. coli enterohemorrhagic strain). Ang malas ko lang talaga because Mama had it as well pero hindi naman tumagal yung sa kanya. Good for her...bad for me.
On a sad note, Kuya Ronie died last Sunday due to "bangungot" (ventricular fibrillation or Brugada's in med terminology). Ang sad lang kasi he died young and left an 8 month old child. Biglaan pa. He was really a good person. Obvious naman eh. Ang daming nalungkot at bumisita sa wake niya. Kung ako siguro ang mamamatay at that age, I probably won't get that much visitors. Haay...ang hirap pag may nawawala. Ang hirap mag fill in ng mga gaps sa buhay.
Yesterday, I joined my first ever med mission (at yan ay dahil sa Red Cross). It was held at Brgy. Obrero, Proj. 6, QC. Grabe. Ang saya na magulo. It was also a learning experience. Nakapagpractice na tapos natuto rin naman ako sa patients ko. Lalo na kung paano gumamit ng thermometer pag batang umiiyak ang kaharap mo. Hehe. =p Naku...daming mga bata. Weakness ko pa naman maghandle ng bata. Experience talaga. Buti na lang, I was with Meme who was really great with kids. Nakakatuwa rin to hear them call me "doktora". :) Pero just last week, napaisip ako if this is really the life I want. Kasi, Dr. Rigor had a talk tapos he shared to us a story about his grandson who had a chance to be a doctor at a good school in the US. His grandson declined the offer kasi raw ayaw niyang matulad sa lolo niya na laging busy at wala. Honestly, I got teary-eyed then for some weird reason. At hanggang ngayon, tinatanong ko pa rin ang sarili ko if this is really what I want.

And for more experience yesterday, nagcommute ako from Brgy. Obrero to LRT Anonas Station. Buti ok yung turo sa akin ng mga tao don. In fairness, nadagdagan ang aking commuting knowledge...at hindi ako nawala. Nakakatakot lang...hindi familiar yung mga dinaanan namin. Hehe. Para akong engot na silip ng silip sa labas ng jeep. Baka kasi dalhin ako somewhere unsafe.
The reason for that sudden commuting...had to meet up with Ivy, JL, Dean and Migo at Gateway. Shux...after more than a year, nagkita ulit kami. I missed them. Dapat magkikita din kami ni Bri kahapon eh...unfortunately, nasa Baguio siya. Oh well...at least may pasalubong ako pag nagkita kami. =p Watched Cloverfield yesterday pala. Ngek! Yun lang. Haha. Nakakatawa. Nilibre naman ako ni Dean eh...so keber ko na sa movie. Watch it for the experience na lang. =p
In fairness, ayos ang lighting. =p
