leaving for a while...

I'M FINALLY LEAVING FOR CEBU TOMORROW! :)

Fine...let's put more smiles. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Let's see...I've started packing since Thursday...and now's a Saturday...so that makes it three days worth of packing. Haha. I'm NOT excited.

Well...it's just that I am lame at packing. You just have to give days to prepare, sort out my stuff, and pick which items are worth packing. Still, I end up with one of the biggest luggage ever...and I don't like carrying stuff. Therefore, Mama decided to let me use the biggest travel bag that has wheels on it and weighed like a ton (w/o anything in it yet). How helpful was that? o_O

And the best part is, I'm not only going to Cebu but to places. I'm a travel freak so that's just SO AMAZING. :)

Now...the funny thing is, Papa's leaving earlier than the rest of us. Papa's supposed to fly to Cebu at 3pm (ours was at 7:30am) since he had something else to do. Then, pop! He decided to fly together with us so Aunty had to rebook his flight. Funny part was Aunty mistakenly rebooked him on a much earlier flight at 5am. Haha. Good thing we checked the flight sked yesterday. Aunty doesn't like to rebook his flight again coz we did a lot of rebooking already (3x) and that's more than a thousand pesos already. Yep! Aunty's paying.

I was telling people around the house..."Ang hirap maging mahirap." Grabe! I'm totally out of cash (still not counting the crisp bills I have which I don't really spend). Hindi na nga ako umaalis ng bahay eh...coz going out means using money and I just don't like asking money from Mama. I have little cash here...from the business we've been doing lately...and it's not that much. Haay...kahit piso, tinitipid ko pa. This is a totally new experience.

Oh well...there will always be something new diba? This is it. =p

I'm going to miss my PC.

vacation uplate update

The "mala-"boy band Jeremiah guested in Sharon kanina.

Cathe: "...buhay pa pala sila!"
Me: "Amp*tsa...eh kumakanta na nga sa TV eh. (Hindi pa ba buhay yan?)" *Exact words not recalled...but the first word's right. =p*

And everyone bursted into laughter.

Gawd...we are TOO CRAZY today. Kung ako lang si Danci, I bet makakagawa ako ng isang mini book na collection ng aming mga bentang lines for today. However, I have poor recall when it comes to that.

Pero grabe! After several years, nakita ulit namin ang Jeremiah on TV. And goodness...they look better now. I suggested maturity (milder term for them having aged). Papa suggested Vicky Belo. Ashus! =p

***

We had our garage sale today. Had fun basking in the heat sa aming garage. Few people came...or should I say there were quite a number who came pero onti lang binili. Ok lang. We are planning for a 2nd garage sale and an online sale na rin. Hehe. We just have to get rid of these stuff.

We have a new business venture na naman...ice cream on stick. Mas benta kanina. ;p

***

Tuloy na tuloy na ang aming Cebu vacation next week. Yey! :) Grabe! Na-hectic ako sa kakaalam ng flight schedules and fares. Ang mahal na grabe!

I miss Cebu already. Haven't been there in a long time. Lagi na lang sa Negros...and what do we always get there? Fields of sugarcane (exagg but almost true). I miss Tita Elma, Valerie, the bathroom w/ the ceiling fan, my old bouncy bed (inangkin eh :p), Cebu's barbeque (the best talaga don), batchoy (but I doubt if may nagtitinda pa rin ng batchoy don sa may amin), and SM Cebu (there's always an SM). Haha! ;)

What I'll definitely miss here in Manila? Internet, control over the remote control, and aircon. Thus, hindi ko pa rin alam if I'd stay in Cebu for long. There definitely should be a sidetrip...Bohol perhaps...or Sumilon Island. ;)

I finally got to go swimming yesterday. Thanks to Papa's boss who invited us to tag along their company outing in Laguna. Woke up late so we left late...got stuck in traffic...got a bit lost along the way...but we made it. Nakakatuwa when we arrived...Papa's boss came to greet us agad and he was only in his swimming trunks. A fun sight...and I still find it weird to see him in swimming attire. Actually, it was fun seeing all their family in swimsuits. Chinese kasi eh...so ang mga bosses ni Papa ay isang big family. The big boss pushed us to eat lunch, but since we just had lunch on the way, we ate little. I ate very big prawns which were super deli. Cathe and I went swimming after. We were hoping to do some wallclimbing, but there were no ropes eh. Gears would cost us 3 thou daw. Er... Cathe wanted to use the videoke (dun sa secluded area), but the videoke machine just won't cooperate. We tried playing billiards...but Cathe's a lousy player. =p So we took pictures again as always. Never fails.

Went home sometime around 6 or 7 pm. Tapos, we did some pricing for our garage sale items and did something for Danci's birthday. I still have to fix it so he can receive it na. :)

Our grades will be released tomorrow. Scary.

a penny for my thoughts.

Super init pa rin.

Sana talaga, matuloy kami sa Cebu. The more I get stuck here sa house, the more I get bored and the more negative energy I get. Yun lang.

Wala talaga akong nagagawa. I don't want to get out of the house kasi super init magcommute. Kahit umabot ako sa mall, mainit pa rin yung travel.

I'm stuck to a ritual of waking up, cleaning, eating lunch, taking a bath, watching TV, using the PC, dinner, watching TV again, then sleeping. O diba? How boring can this get?

Ganda ng Rounin at Lupin. Shh...TV addict. =p

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately...

If I'll die soon, I think I'll die of heart attack. Ang morbid ko. Nag-iisip na nga akong gumawa ng eulogy ko eh. Blame it one Jasmine. Uy...gets niyo? Jologs ka. =p

If I get rich (and I'm going to get rich talaga), I'm sure I'm going to spend it for traveling, watching theater plays, shopping, and buying my own condo unit and that Jaguar I've been eyeing on everytime we pass by the Makati area.

If I was just courageous enough, I think I won't be back in med school by June, and perhaps, I'd be doing something else.

If I were to have super powers right now, I want to have the power to freeze time. Feeling ko kasi, there's much a 21-year-old like me should have achieved by now and yet I feel so empty. Parang ang daming kulang.

Epekto lang ng climate/weather ito. Haay...

May idadagdag pa ako...

If I were not lazy, I should have sorted out my pile of clothes by now. Dami na kasi eh. Have to sort out the ones which I don't need na. Eion...my closet feels empty now. =p

ANG INIT!

Grabe init! Lenchebes!

I heard the temperature tipped the scales at a whopping 38 degrees today. Naks! Parang beauty pageant.

I suddenly miss Baguio. Even if hindi na masyadong malamig don (crazy commercialization), mas okay pa rin yung weather don. Here in Manila, I sweat bullets even in my sleep. Will somebody sew up the ozone layer...as in right now. I'm serious.

Malapit na ang much awaited garage sale namin. Therefore, nakatambak na ang aking clothes sa kama...time to ditch old clothes...in with the new. ;) Nag-ukay pala ulit kami kahapon nina Mama at Cathe despite the weather. Grabe! Iwan mo lang ng onti yung kotse, ang init na bigla sa loob. Mahirap magdrive kung flaming hot yung steering wheel noh. Anyway, wala akong nabili yesterday. I really have to lose these fats in my thighs...although I think bones na talaga ang problema eh. Gusto kong bumalik sa ukayan sa Baguio...4 floors eh. Ang saya. I can get lost in it and totally enjoy the experience. =p

Still haven't went swimming...and still haven't bought that swimsuit yet. Grr...

I tried shopping last Saturday. Went to SM MOA kasi my cousin, Macmac, from Camiguin was in Manila. Sea trip nila. Training is in Cavite pero they were given a chance to go shopping at SM MOA for a measly 3 hours. Eh di madali kami ever coz we had to give him some money and stuff pa. Mama and Cathe went there earlier via train just to be sure. I went with Papa coz he was coming home late and we had to pick up something. Pero honestly, sabi nga ni Cathe, I was just spoiled...and I hate commuting lalo na kung mainit. Eion...Papa and I had to dodge traffic. Man! Daming pulitikong naglipana sa kalye. Kainis! Came to SM MOA just in time (8pm) so onting picture taking lang with cuz. Then, went shopping for Cathe's OJT shoes. Wala akong nabili kasi magsasara na ang mall noh. Oh well...papel. There's always a next time.

Nanalo na naman si Pacquiao. Ngekerz! What's new? =p Galing lumaban ng ABS-CBN...binalita agad sa news na nanalo si Pacquiao sa 8th round...dinaig ang GMA at Internet. Online ako eh...nag-aabang. =p Benta talaga ang dos. ;)

A sige na muna...Cathe's going to use the Internet.

Achuvachuva. :)

announcement!!!

Ayaw na ata ni sis ng boxing...swimming na lang daw ulit. Haay...we've taken lots of swimming lessons na and I guess she'll never get satisfied until she learns how to do the butterfly stroke.

I'm tempted din. ;p

Feeling ko, bukas, iba na naman gustong gawin ni Cathe. Baka balik yoga at belly dancing na naman. Sheesh!

Oh...before I forget, we'll probably be having a GARAGE SALE here at home on the 22nd of April, Sunday. It's Kim's idea so most of the stuff won't be exactly coming from us but from friends. Dito lang gagawin sa bahay kasi mas okay daw location...so there. I heard we'll be selling clothes, bags, and shoes...I dunno what else. I'm sure there'd be good finds. Sabi ni Cathe, siya raw mauunang mamili so good luck na lang sa bibili diba. =p

Proceeds will go directly to our dwindling savings and thinning wallets. Hehe. ;p

Punta kayo. :)

why is dial-up much slower now?

Fine. Summer vacation started with a bang with our DSL cut off by PLDT. Therefore, I busied myself with NON-internet stuff like fixing my files, cleaning up my clutter space in our room, doing the laundry (would you believe?!), and doing Holy Week-related stuff. Oh well...at least we have our DSL back now. My sis went to PLDT alone kanina to pay the bill. Ang galing diba? Mag-isa lang siya. Yeah...I know how to put the envelope inside the hole where you put your payment and stuff, but I'm quite inutil with the rest. I can't walk all the way to PLDT from our subdivision's gate even if it's less than a hundred steps away kasi takot ako sa mga vulcanizing people na madadaanan ko on the way there. I'm not just inutil...paranoid pa.

Let me start this off by telling you about the great summer kickoff the fam had. Natuloy kami sa Baguio two weekends ago. We left home last March 31, Saturday, at around noon tapos we fetched Kim, Danci, and Joyie. Yep! Sabi nga ni Kim, the more, the mennier. We arrived at Baguio at around 9pm and we were really hungry already. Even if we vowed never to step foot at SM Baguio (kasi naman, we have lots of SM here in the Metro), we still ended up having dinner at SM Baguio at David's Tea House, a Chinese resto at that. Pero pahirapan pa rin coz even if we were seeing SM Baguio at a distance, hindi namin mahanap ang way papunta don. Susme! The people we asked were probably thinking we were crazy because we were laughing our heads off kasi naman, it was already near closing time tapos here we are, lost in small Baguio searching for SM's entrance. Tapos, pagpasok pa namin sa parking area, we were greeted by Baguio's cold air PLUS some strange fart-smelling scent that Joyie or Danci referred to as vegetarian's fart. Haha! =p Actually, before leaving Baguio, we concluded that the strange smell might have something to do with the water SM's been using. We think they're using waste water for their CR which is actually a way to conserve water.

Eion...after a very filling dinner (and taking home lots of leftovers), we were left with another dilemma...that is to find a hotel for us to stay in for the evening. We ended up at Kisad Hotel. I spent the rest of the evening watching 300 on DVD...yeah, twas pirated. At least I already know now Danci and Kim's "ahoof!". The following morning, my parents woke up early to attend mass while us, the younger ones, waited for them, watched TV, played Danci's Nintendo DS (which was totally exhausted for the whole trip), talked, and realized that the lady in charge downstairs doesn't know what utensils are but is aware of what kutsara and tinidor is. We had breakfast when Mama and Papa came back. After that, Papa went to his meeting (which was the real agenda for our Baguio trip) while the rest of us went ukay ukay shopping. Ang saya kasi everything was accessible by foot. We bought lots of things especially Kim na balak atang simutin ang ukay ukay shops. =p We went to buy pasalubong sa market after. We eventually ended up buying very small strawberries underneath bigger ones (We really never learn our lessons do we? We still bought the one in the pretty baskets kasi. At least they were good for strawberry shakes.) and not properly discounted choco flakes (Ice went to Baguio last Holy Week tapos she bought much cheaper choco flakes of the same brand...harumph!). I still got my lettuce as planned though even if it meant arguing with the tindera about which is tastier...small lettuce or big lettuce. Met up with Papa at Chowking after. Mas masarap ang beef wanton doon kasi fresh yung veggies. Yummeee! =p

After the late lunch, we went back to the hotel to get our stuff and tour Baguio for real na. Pero as luck would have it, it rained on our way to Mines View Park. We only got to go at Baguio's Botanical Garden where we got a taste of strawberry taho (ang sarap niya super), met St. Bernard the St. Bernard (;p), and bought more stuff to bring home. We went back to SM Baguio after where we left Mama and Papa to sleep in the van while we, the younger ones, again, went ukay ukay shopping. That evening, Papa had to attend an induction at Baguio Country Club. Dinner was too expensive for us so we settled to eating McDo takeouts in the van. Oh well...we toured the country club after. The place was really nice...if only there was sunlight talaga. We were kinda tempted to go swimming in the heated pool. Haay! Yeah...my question was answered. There was indeed a pool in Baguio only it was heated. And hell no...people there didn't don long sleeved swimsuits. Even if Kim, Cathe, and I brought swimsuits with us (hehe!), we still didn't go swimming coz it was super expensive. 280 pesos for an hour. Are they crazy?!

Left Baguio at nearly 10pm. Got lost looking for the way back that we even ended up seeing UP Baguio pa. Arrived in Manila at around 2am. At least we did arrive early kasi Danci and I had Red Cross training that day (Monday) while Papa had an interview to attend to.

The best part of our one day Baguio trip? Those were the bonding moments...singing in the car even if we were sintunado (kaya ata umulan)...smelling Baguio air (even the veggie fart)...taking home a bonsai that's now nearly dying (thanks bad acclimatization)...taking loads of pictures (camwhores we were)...helping a lost kid find its way back to the cathedral (long story)...getting great bargains at the ukay ukay shops...getting addicted to choco flakes...and seeing Franzen and realizing he wasn't dark at all. Hehe. Sayang...wasn't able to ride the swan at the Burnham park. Oh well...next time. ;p

So there...kwento ko muna yung oh so funny interview ni Papa for Channel 4. It was really spontaneous. All he knew was that it had something to do with him being from Siquijor. Holy Week hype talaga. Interview turned out really hilarious (even if I wasn't there to watch it). Kwento sa akin nina Mama, nakalagay daw sa TV: "Jun Nadal: Herbal Doctor". Hahaha. :D Nalaman ko lang yon when my Aunty from UK called kasi nalaman nga niya Papa got interviewed tapos when I heard about the herbal doctor stuff, I laughed really hard that I almost cried. I know Papa may look like a doctor, but he is in no way close to being a herbal doctor. Dapat kasi, the tag read: "Junie Nadal: Grandson of a Herbal Doctor". Channel 4 got their info all wrong. Tapos, malalaman ko pa na nagreklamo yung isa kong Aunty sa Bayawan coz Papa made a statement that none of them (grandchildren) got the power my great grandfather had as a herbal doctor. Sabi kasi ni Aunty, nakuha raw niya yung power. Nyark talaga.

As for my Red Cross Training, it turned out fine. I was really tired after. At least I learned some bandaging techniques, transferring stuff, and doing CPR. I refuse to think my first kiss was with a dummy therefore I'm still thinking whether I've kissed anyone before...even if it was way back in gradeschool...and I'm not telling what my memory bank has stored. ;) We did the MCI thing at the end of the training and I volunteered as a first aider. Buti na lang kasi if I was the victim, I'd end up really dirty with some sticky red coffee smelling liquid. Hindi naman ako super maarte pero kasi, I'd still have to ride the LRT. Just concerned of other people's welfare. ;p

We finally ate at Bellini's pala. Like any Italian resto, there were complimentary bread thingies again...bread sticks this time. Pesto was great especially the sweet wine. They kept on commenting how lasing I was pero I really wasn't. Just too tired siguro.

Oh...I finally got to see my grades for Anatomy from the last two exams. Twas really okay so I guess all's well. Haha! One year of med down. :) Oops...I totally forgot Biochem. Time to worry again.

Last Thursday, I ended up singing in the Pabasa and getting a free snack. Mom, Cathe, and I were supposed to join Papa at a Visita Iglesia in Tagaytay pero we were puyat eh. Kakaiba ang Pabasa dito sa amin kasi some people would turn up tapos kakain lang. Worst pa, they'd take home some snacks. Pakapalan talaga ng mukha. We ended up taking home pansit and ginataang langka. Hehehe. At least we sang. ;p

Then last Sunday, we watched the Salubong at Cainta again. Nothing much has changed. There was still that tomato looking stuff hanging from above. There were less people this time as I've observed. Ended up eating at Tropical Hut after. That's always the fun part...eating. ;p

Right now, I'm currently interested in watching action movies with martial arts in it. Weird eh? Eion...sinusuntok ko na naman si Papa. Nah...just playing around. Besides, Papa's a black belter...he knows how to defend himself. Cathe's planning on taking up boxing. Musta naman diba? =p

I better be off...babush! :)
