My Camiguin Travelogue: Travel Tips for Newbs

As I always say: "I'm back!" :)

Shux...may "add video" na ang blogger...I'm so outdated. =p

With only 2 weeks worth of sembreak vacation, I managed to squeeze in a week trip in Camiguin. Yahoo! I tagged along with my sister for her thesis chuva so there. This is actually my 2nd trip to Camiguin (last one was last Holy Week, 2003) so I did a wee bit of REdiscovering and well...LOTS of discovering. I really love that island...better than Bora (2nd love ko lang yon). Trust me.:) Kulang nga lang one week...haven't visited all the sites I wanted to visit.

October 17, 2007

Still in Manila...waiting for boarding time.

As usual, took an early morning trip for Cagayan de Oro with sis and mom. Oct. 17 was also the first day of the Lanzones Festival so PGMA was going to Camiguin for the opening ceremonies...so you can just imagine the tight security at the Cagayan de Oro airport. There was definitely lots of military people. The last time my mom and sis were there, PGMA was also visiting. [Bad?] timing.

Tips for newbs (TFN from now on): For the cheapest rates, it is best to book weeks in advance or to consult all airlines going to your desired destination. That doesn't end there...check all flights for your desired date. PAL is considered to be quite expensive compared to Cebu Pacific and Air Phils...but we got our tickets at a very low price. Early morning trips are often cheaper (based on experience). Thou shall not let early morning's cold water to hinder you from taking a bath though. =p

Cathe's godmother, Tita Lingling, with Tito Bebing, her husband, fetched us from the airport. Decided to spend the night at Cagayan de Oro first...rest day for stressed people like us. :p

TFN: If you want to go white water rafting...try Cagayan de Oro. It is cheaper daw than the ones in Northern Luzon. A "trip" will cost you 900 pesos...that is if you discount your plane ticket. ;)

Too bad...we didn't have time for that. We have to go to Camiguin pa kasi for Cathe's thesis work.

First stop that day: Tita Lingling's family farm @ Pagatpat. Had a breakfast of the best ice candy ever (it's a combination of milk, coconut milk, mango, and peanuts...yummy!!!), fresh coconuts, nilagang saging, and tuyo with this weird sauce (toyo and oil). Then we did a bit of exploring...pineapple plantation there...papayas there...and so forth.

And like any other place, they have an SM mall also. Went there after the farm trip for grocery shopping. Then, off we went home to Tita Lingling's big house to sleep the whole afternoon. Told you we were stressed. :p

October 18, 2007

Woke up early to catch the bus for Balingoan.

TFN: From Cagayan de Oro, you have to take a bus (that's the cheapest na) for Balingoan, Misamis Oriental. It's a 1.5-hr trip so I suggest you ride the airconditioned bus. Super always meron non. It's actually bound for Butuan but remember to go down at Balingoan ha. They usually have a stopover for lunch somewhere near Balingoan port...so if you want, go down the bus and take a short tricycle ride for the port na deretso (this we did). If you are thrifty, remember to bring your senior citizen's card or student's ID for a mini-discount.

But before leaving, we said explored Tita Lingling's house first. They have several pets...dogs, lovebirds, tilapias...etcetera. Had to say goodbye first.:)

We also did a bit of touring around Cagayan de Oro on the way to the bus terminal. The good thing about Cagayan, there are still lots of green everywhere. It's urbanized and yet rural in a way.

Arrived at Balingoan port at around lunchtime. Had lunch at 5 Brothers...it's a small carinderia near the port. It is also where I grew to love tortang talong. Ang sarap talaga. Plus ung adobo-like food na fave ni sis.

TFN: To go to Camiguin, you have to ride a ferry from Balingoan to Benoni (in Camiguin). There are two kinds of ferries: ones that can only transport people...and those that are Ro-Ro vessels. There are also other ports in Camiguin...one in Guinsiliban and another in Balbagon. Basta the latter one is where the ferries from Cebu dock. We did that before...traveled from Cebu to Camiguin. It takes some time but it's quite fun as well.

With Uncle Toto...

I can't give you more tips on prices because Uncle Toto's captain of "Kalinaw" so we got free ferry rides...and had access to the bridge (or wherever the captain usually stays...you get the picture). Plus, plus.:)

TFN: The best times to go to Camiguin are during the Holy Week season for the Panaad and during the 3rd wk of October for the Lanzones Festival.

TFN: Now...if you don't want to be bothered by porters, don't bring too much luggage ha. Aagawin yan. Mas malala pa sa Cagayan de Oro bus terminal. Aawayin ka pag hindi mo pinadala gamit mo.

Apart from the Lanzones Festival, it was also Octoberfest season so we got to meet 1017 on the way to Camiguin. Timing. =p Actually, we don't really know them (only their song "Dodong Charing") so nakakatawa how we got to know them. May gwapong wala sa pic...ask Cathe for his number. *Naku...sasapukin ako non.* Hahaha. :D

Lanzones Festival meant street decorations so we stopped by the main road for a pic. Hahaha. Kapal ng mukha. Madalian yan. =p

In Camiguin, who said we can rest? After dropping our things at Uncle's house in Tupsan, we immediately went to Mambajao to do some palengke shopping. Had merienda at a store near the Vjandep store. Had a bowl of binignit (parang ginataang halo-halo with the galapong replaced by malagkit rice) which costs only 5 pesos. Grabe noh? You should try it. And oh...we also bought lanzones (bulahan/buahan in Visayan language) for 15 pesos per kilo. :)

By the way, for the above pic, the guy in black is Macmac...my cousin...Aunty Leoncia and Uncle Toto's only son. He's now staying in Surigao with his "wife". Yep...next stop: Surigao na talaga. I can now get to visit Siargao Island...another one of dream destinations. :) And the kid pala is Yanyan...he lives with my Uncle.

TFN: Life in Camiguin somewhat revolves around it's capital which is Mambajao. If you're choosing a hotel, make sure it is near Mambajao. Trust me. You don't know half the story. There are no big malls in Camiguin...heck, it's not even that urbanized.

October 19, 2007

Woke up early (himala ito...during vacay trips only...rare talaga...emphasized ito), for an early morning swim. At the back of Uncle Toto's house is a dike tapos open sea after. Fun noh? As in talon na lang agad. Tsunami prone nga lang. Oh well...Camiguin is a scary island. It's quite small...and prone to tsunamis and volcano eruptions pa ata (having several volcanoes at it's core). Pero super ganda pa rin talaga ng island noh. Who cares? I don't. =p At Uncle's backyard, there is little of sand and more of those big stones from volcano eruptions...they're quite similar to the ones you see in Corregidor or those you put for your gardens.

TFN: Swimsuits aren't "uso" in Camiguin. Pagtitinginan ka pag naka-swimsuit ka. Haha. =p Well...that just makes you an obvious tourist.

And I'd like you to meet Aunty Leoncia's chickens. They have grown accustomed to staying in the bukag (or basket) during the evenings kahit malalaki na sila at super siksikan na. See? Chicken sardines. =p And next pic shows aratilles (gawd...tama spelling?). Sorry...I missed eating them na. The tree in our backyard here at home has long been cut na eh.

October 20, 2007

Went to Mambajao to see the street dancing. Came in late na. Mabagal kumilos pinsan ko. Life in Camiguin is slow-paced and relaxed. Thus...yun na. Hindi ko masyadong kinaya yon...sanay ako sa stressful and fast-pace life here in Manila. Funny kwento muna...we were trying to take good pictures so we were really looking for a prime spot. Since there were already too many people on the streets, that was difficult. When the people finally dispersed around this certain area, we thought we had finally found our prime spot...but no...tapos na pala ang street dancing. =p

By the way, the street dancing on this day were by high school students. For the last day, the street dancers were grade schoolers...that we didn't get to see. Story later.

Tiangge area...stalls aplenty.

Afterwards, we headed directly to the grandstand for the tableau. Same groups that participated in the street dancing. Eight schools all in all. The tableau presentation was about the history of lanzones (if I'm not mistaken). They all did well. Super ganda. Good thing we came in early...just right after the street dancing. Ang daming tao. We had seats at the topmost section na. The advantage is, we can see the different formations when they were dancing. The disadvantage, we had to wait for 3 hours for the show to start. That's patience at its finest. But then...we didn't get to watch the Festival Queen competition because we were too tired already...we only got to see the rehearsal.

TFN: Essentials to survive a day of watching the streetdancing and tableau - 1) a camera with full batt and all your mem cards/sticks; 2) a cap/umbrella and sunblock (just in case you can't get seats); 3) lots of money (to buy snacks from the maglalakos in the stadium...you have to try the empanada...and to buy lunch na rin from the "tiangge area" opposite the stadium; 4) a fan in case it gets really hot; 5) water; and 6) fellow watchers who you can talk to (just so you don't get stale breath from waiting). =p

And well...we were feeling a bit sticky after watching so we decided to go to Macao Cold Spring for a swim. It's the nearest one from my Uncle's home. It really is cold here...imagine ice cold water.

TFN: Camiguin is known for it's cold and hot springs (thanks to its volcanoes). Most of these springs are already commercialized save for Macao. It is privately owned and yet the owners haven't developed the area. You can swim here for free. From what I know, this spring is also the source for Tupsan's water...syempre hindi sa swimming area. Actually, water in Camiguin was for free until recently when they decided to charge uhm...10 pesos (!!!) per month. Di oras na rin ang water supply. Dahil nga rich ang water source, the people here took for granted the water talaga. Sa bahay nga ni Uncle, walang pakialam kung bukas ung gripo kahit walang gumagamit. No need to boil water din...tap water is from the spring it's just as good as the bottled water you buy from the market. If only I can ship spring water from Camiguin. ;p

Another good reason to travel to Camiguin at this time: FISH!!! I'm a fish lover talaga...yung big varieties. Inihaw, prito, kilaw...name it. In a span of less than one week, I've gained a few pounds just from eating too much fish.
October 21, 2007

Another island trip. My turn to drive...it's really easy...as long as you're not blind. =p

TFN: If you're going to Camiguin, make sure to visit Mantigue Island and White Island...both have white sand beaches. We didn't go here this time since we already went there the last time we were in Camiguin...may bangka pa si Uncle non. Will cost you more than a thousand siguro for the boat ride. For Mantigue, bring money to buy fresh clams. That's what we did before. Tapos, cook there na lang. On the other hand, White Island is a sandbar. Parts of it actually disappear underwater during high tide...but it's relatively safe. No fishing though for both islands...protected areas kasi.

This time, we took advantage of the free ferry ride. I saw this small island near the Balingoan port kasi...they call it Pulo (gawa gawa lang siguro ito). Super lapit lang...all you need is 100 pesos for the bangka ride. I insisted that we try going there for a change.

Actually, the real name of the island starts with letter L (let me try to remember than one first) and it's bound to be developed into a casino. Imagine...the cross and the Virgin Mary atop the island...replaced by a casino? Eeek!!!

Actually, there are 2 ways to go up atop the island - the easy way and the hard way. We tried the hard way first...shorter distance pero nakakapagod. It was really slippery especially after dipping in seawater. Buti na lang may kubo sa itaas for resting. We tried the easy way going down, but it is still kinda slippery. Why is it "easy" then? Because there was some railing. Longer distance though...less sloping.

Oh...just wanted to show how clear the water was. We didn't get to swim unfortunately...we had to catch Uncle's next ferry trip back to Camiguin to watch the tableau of the grade schoolers.

Funny kwento na naman pagbalik sa Balingoan port. The bangka we rented didn't have enough gasoline...so we had to use the oars (bugsay) to go back to the port. At nagmamadali pa kami niyan. Haha. Buti na lang hindi maalon. Ito pa...para mas mabilis, hindi na kami sa gilid ng Balingoan port nag-dock...sa mismong port talaga for the big ships. May nakakita sa amin pagbalik...tinanong pa kami kung saan kami galing. Akala ata nila, we traveled all the way from Camiguin Island using that small bangka (without gasoline at that). Tinawanan ko talaga sila. :D Lesson learned...check the gasoline supply before going island hopping. ;)

After arriving at Camiguin, we immediately went to Mambajao to see Jaijai (another cousin's son who lives with my Uncle) dance as part of the tableau presentation. Lokong bata. Wrong info. There was no 3 hr gap nga after the street dancing so we didn't get to see him. Therefore, we decided to go to the palengke to buy lanzones and other stuff and eat batchoy at Vjandep. Picture moment na lang with Jaijai when he came home. Daya...hindi namin siyang nakita sumayaw.

Walang magawa...aside from DS, it's eating I've been doing. There's TV na...newly bought by my cousin. But the reception's not good eh.

TFN: The best lanzones are in Camiguin. Kahit mukhang hilaw yung iba, matamis na yan. Tip, buy lots of lanzones at the start of the festival. The cheapest we saw then was 13 pesos per kilo. The price goes higher by the end of the festival kasi nga maraming bumibili at that time for pasalubong. It can go as high as 30 pesos. Ngek noh? Mas mahal sa Manila...twice the price. I brought a box when I went home, but I got those for free from Yanyan's lolo. Pwedeng free...kanya-kanyang kuha sa puno sa farm na nasa bundok pa. Whew! Sayang, Uncle's lanzones plantation is not yet ready daw. Late daw mamunga eh.

That evening, we went to Ardent Hot Spring for another dip. It's the most famous hot spring in Camiguin. May entrance fee...30 pesos if I'm not mistaken. The first time I was here, there were lots of people. Mas marumi na ngayon. I just can't explain. Tawa kami ng tawa habang naliligo. Tolerated everything. You have to there yourself to try it. =p

Funny story again? We didn't have a decent baon so we decided to get roasted chicken in Mambajao...but the chickens were all reserved. So what we did, Aunty Leoncia talked to the one who owns the place (na kilala niya...magkakakilala naman ata lahat dito...esp. since Macmac's an SK chairman, Uncle's a captain, and Aunty's a local). We got a chicken ahead of others. Secret na lang namin yon. Nagrereklamo na yung iba, keber namin. Gutom eh.=p
October 22, 2007

Had to accompany my sister to Guinsiliban to visit the queen...este, to visit the mayor and get some permits and interview. Waited almost all day for him. Guinsiliban is a small community (if not the smallest) in Camiguin. It's relatively peaceful, but the stuff in the municipal hall is actually the best we've seen in the whole island. May "plans" per area unlike sa ibang lugar, kami pa nagsukat. Hirap magsukat noh. And they were really accommodating.

Now...not everybody knows this...not even my cousin. At the back of Guinsiliban's Elem. School is a historical site: the Moro Watch Tower. It is a small enclosure with a 13 step staircase (err...that's not an appropriate term ata) which ends in a small opening on top. Here, you can see the open sea. Here's the history...there were lots of pirates who frequent the area before (as in olden times) so the people made the watch tower. Someone is assigned as a lookout for pirates so that he can warn others. I don't know if the stairs is as small before, but to climb it is scary. I was scared. =p It was really slippery and the width is really narrow. If I fall, lagot talaga. People also tell of a kapre living in the area...so remember to say "Hi!" to him. Check your pictures ha. =p

On the way to Guinsiliban is a lagoon area. If you have lots of money, try going fishing. I heard the price is crazy. I'd rather not ask. =p

TFN: I am not showing off my legs...they're not of "show-off" quality. See all those red marks? Remember to bring an Off lotion and use it religiously. There are lots of mosquitoes in Uncle's house (and other houses I bet). Grabe...I was lazy in using Off lotion so here...my usual reaction to mosquito bites. Super dami niyan...kahit mukha ko, pinapak. I was paranoid while in the airport on the way back to Manila...I just thought I heard someone talking about chickenpox...and well, I was thinking they were probably thinking about me. Of course these were not chickenpox. Duh! If they were really talking about me, they probably haven't heard of pustules, vesicles, and so forth. Hahaha. O.A. =p

October 23, 2007

The first time we were in Camiguin, my Uncle's truck was still working. We spent a day touring Camiguin...as in. Picture picture lang tapos alis, change destination. This time, we spent most of the time riding the public transportation. It's relatively cheap...about Php 6.00-7.50 lang...but it can go higher depending on your destination. This day, we rented a motorela for 1,000 pesos. You can haggle for a cheaper deal...it's all about skill.:)

TFN: Finding transportation in Camiguin is not easy. It's either you wait for a ride, rent your own ride, or walk. The cheapest (ata) and usual transpo are the motorela and a multicab. There are also jeepneys (they look different here...see pic below) and vans (usually for hire and the most expensive pa). Better hire a vehicle because motorelas don't pass by often. If they do, either they're already full or they won't let you ride in.

We were to go to Catarman to visit yet another mayor for Cathe's thesis. It was easier this time. Catarman is quite far away from Tupsan where we were staying though. It was a long ride. The shorter road was under renovation...di oras ang daan. We decided to pass by that area on the way home na lang...for the roundtrip feel.

Houses by the sea (near Benoni port)...

An elementary school...check out the stairs. Nakakapagod sigurong maging estudyante dito.

First stop: Old Church Ruins. This was an Cotta Bato's old church destroyed by the Mt. Volcan Eruption in 1871. That's apart from the many lives lost during the eruption. They actually made a small church inside of this ruins (not seen in picture). You can just imagine the vastness of the area. Outside are two more structures...the remains of an old convent and an old bell tower. Entrance fee not necessary.

Second stop: Sunken Cemetery. Calling all "Ouija" fans. ;) In fairness, hindi na siya kasing baho ng dati. Probably cleaned the place for the movie. Hehe. =p The cross is actually located about 50 meters away from the shoreline so you have to ride a bangka (no gasoline needed). That's 15 pesos per person. This is an old cemetery buried because of several volcano eruptions (yet again). You can't actually see the graves already because they're covered by corals na. They're already strict with regards to diving. Preservation purposes I guess.

The main stop: Soda Swimming Pool at Bura. This is a relatively new place here. I really insisted we go here...even if it meant longer travel time. It is about 2-4 km away from the main road. 15 pesos entrance fee again. The pool's quite deep. Super. Curiosity got me so I tasted the water...from the hose naman. I don't really know how soda water tastes. *Ngek...mahal lang talaga. =p*The soda water I've tasted are flavored eh. =p They said it's supposed to be quite sour. I'm not sure. I've just observed that small bubbles (fizz-like) form on your skin underwater. Nakakatuwa. :)

Not to be forgotten is a good view of a volcano. Based on what I heard, there are more than 5 volcanoes in Camiguin. According to my cousin, the most active one as of this moment is the Tres Marias. The rest are quite dormant naman. Nakakatakot diba?

Next stop: the cliff along the road from Catarman to Mambajao. Why is this place special? Try throwing a stone and you won't even see it land in the water. Really. Legend has it that before the stone reaches the water surface, an engkanto gets it. Scientifically though, there is said to be a magnet that attracts the stone so instead of falling into the water, it gets drawn back to the side of the cliff. I'm not really sure. I went here out of curiosity, and I went home more puzzled than ever. =p

If you're in Camiguin during Holy Week, celebrate the Panaad by climbing the Via Cruzes (I'll check the name soon if I got that right). It's somewhat like the grotto in Baguio only higher. Stations of the Cross pa rin. They set up stairs going atop a volcano/mountain. Super nakakapagod akyatin yon. We did that before...pero gabi yun so hindi mainit. Buti na lang. It was half done pa that time...lupa pa yung ibang area...yeah...it can get slippery again. I'm not sure how it is now.

Next stop: Mambajao's Old Wharf. Nothing much. That's just it. They have a plaza too. We tried going to the Centennial House in Mambajao to see the Centennial Tree also but we got lost along the way. Probably not meant to be.

TFN: Camiguin is teeming with old houses. Nakalagay pa talaga yung date kung kelan nagawa yung mga bahay. Visit some if you feel like it. Eery? Nah...

Last but not the least: Enigmata. This is a known artist's haven. Medyo malayo sa main road yung place so hanggang labas na lang kami. Why I wanted to go there? To see the penis-shaped swimming pool. Hahaha. :D Sorry...curiosity talaga. I already checked it sa internet...you may check it as well. Seriously. =p

My sis also included PhiVolcs for her thesis. Haven't been there. Sayang. People go there to see the island of Camiguin. It's located atop a mountain kasi. Good view.

October 24, 2007

Yes. This is my last day in this island paradise. It is my first time to travel alone. Yesness. My mom, sis, and cousin accompanied me up to the airport. Afterwards, they went to my relatives in Bukidnon. Sayang. I missed the Bukidnon trip this time. Always yun eh...we just have to visit Bukidnon when we're in Mindanao. It's quite near Cagayan de Oro. It's also accessible by bus. See how relatively similar Mindanao is to Luzon? Try going to Bukidnon to see the pineapple plantation of Del Monte. It is BIG. My Aunt there owns a resort so you can never miss swimming even if you're on a mountain.

Nakakatuwa because even if I was alone, I had several packages with me. I had my trolley bag for my clothes and stuff, a box of lanzones (11 kilos), a printer (for Cathe's thesis work...mahal magpa-print sa Camiguin at mahirap maghanap ng printing shop), my own handbag, and a plastic with 6 boxes of pastel. I probably looked funny. Hindi siya madali noh. Unlike the airport here in Manila, binabayaran ang trolley sa Cagayan airport...at may porter na kasama. Ayokong magbayad. Anyway, I paid for an 8 kilos excess baggage...that costed me 300++ pesos. Naku. Mas mahal pa ang excess baggage kaysa sa lanzones.

TFN: Aside from lanzones, the best pasalubong you can give is pastel...a Camiguin special. It's a bun with yema filling. There are also other flavors available...but the original one is yema talaga. It's the best one too. A box of 12 will cost you about 107 pesos. If you don't want to feel burdened carrying all the pastel boxes, you can actually buy in Cagayan de Oro na lang. May mga Vjandep branches din don...mas marami kaysa sa Camiguin. Same taste naman. Price difference is not big also...same price sa Vjandep branches (ata), 110 sa SM, 115 sa labas ng airport (thanks sa info ng security guard), and 125 sa loob ng airport terminal. Alam ko na ung ibang ingredients nila...Queensland butter (sosy!) and Alaska condensed/evap milk. That's what I get for using their CR.;p

TFN: CR's in Camiguin/CDO are usually paid per use. Mura lang. Kaya naman guaranteed clean and with water.:)

I had a good view outside on my plane window seat but well...a camphone's not handy in an airplane. You can't open it to take pictures. Took us a long time to land because of air traffic (we were touring Batangas for about 15 mins).

It's back to my usual life here in Manila. Back to stress and school. Back to my comfort zone.

But definitely waiting for another trip back. :)

showbiz chika

May mga tao talagang adik mag-update ng websites nila.

Just finished watching PBB Celeb 2's "red carpet premiere" pero hindi pa tapos yung show, naglipana na ang photos at video clips sa internet...with article pa ha. Haay...technology + kaadikan talaga.

Grabe. Haha. o_0

Nakakatuwa kasi magkaka-Filipino version na yung "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?". FYI (sa mga hindi nakakaalam), it's a game show na parang 1 vs 100 pero kalaban mo eh one small group of 5th graders. Ang pangit lang ng Tagalized title: "Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5?". O diba? Ang pangit.

Masaya ang mga Victor Basa fans. Haay...malapit na silang magpakabit ng portable TV. ;p

Given a chance to change my career, parang ok ata akong showbiz reporter. Hahaha. :D

I'm feeling hecticness...which is weird kasi bakasyon na dapat. Weird talaga.

"bwiset is like, tsk, like duh!"- julz

Finally...with Julz' help, nahanap ko na ang "U Can Dance" wildcard showdown. Shux...took me all night to find it pero siya...uhm...less than 15 mins. I'm such a lousy "finder" (ayoko ng "searcher" =p).

Leche!!!

Natalo si Thou by a measly 0.3%. Pero he got a whopping 99% from the judges. And like usual, he lost because of text votes...96% lang. Saicy's tandem got 100% from text votes alone and 94%++ from the judges. Kainis. Saicy's dance number was less exciting. Thou was not as good as before but hello!!! Compare it with Saicy's and you'll see some big difference.

Bitter na naman ako.

Sa mga crush si Victor Basa...hear me (you know who you are). Kasama siya sa list ng PBB celeb housemates na nilabas ng PEP. As for the rest of the housemates, surprise na lang. Go find the list. Kung totoo man, well...marami akong alam na matutuwa. ;)

officially...sembreak mode.

I'm officially on a sembreak! Oh yeah! :) :) :)

Let's see...I've been quite unlike myself lately...probably because of stress due to school work. I've majorly ruined my 3rd exams (most of it actually) and have been totally distracted with delusional thoughts about grades and stuff. Haha. All's done now and enough with being psychotic. Grabe. Kung alam niyo lang ang disappointments and all.

Big things happened lately. OSCE last Tuesday was really fun. Funny stories talaga. It would have made big in the comedy department if a video was taken. Leche nga lang si "sir" sa BP. Eh sa iba turo ng preceptor namin eh...duh! Of course I know how to take the right BP. Duh again to "him".

After OSCE, we went to Tagaytay for "lunch and videoke". Gilly, one of our new classmates this year (from St. Luke's), invited us. We were 18 people all in all...that's all that can fit in 3 cars actually. We hitched a ride with Stephen. I was with Sweet, Danci, Roselle, Stephen, and his gf Kay (sana tama spelling...at name =p). As luck would have it, we encountered heavy, unexpected traffic and heavy rains on the way to Tagaytay. We stopped somewhere in SLEX for a quick takeout "lunch" and reached RSM in Tagaytay at around 4pm already. Before heeding our growling stomachs plea for a real lunch, we first took pictures. Hehe. Super ganda lang nung place. Actually, if I joined my parents last weekend on one of Papa's Kiwanis events, doon pala yung location. Kiwanian yung may ari. Ok lang din na hindi ako nakasama kina Papa last week...para new yung place for me. Para may pagka-mangha pa diba? =p

The late lunch was really good. Left Tagaytay at around 6pm and arrived home at around 10pm na. The experience was really great. Basta...unexplainable. Too many quotable quotes. Hehe. =p

Then, natuloy din yung birthday treat namin nina Tina at Roselle for our UE friends. After super tedious planning, we finally settled for an overnight at Lake Villa in Binangonan. Actually, I was really disappointed at first kasi onti lang kami...and to think of it, we planned it way long ago pa. Ang daming nag back out. I was really feeling bitter. Alam ni Tina lahat ng angst ko. =p But then again, bahala sila. "They" missed it. Ang daming nangyari...yun lang. Pwede nang i-blackmail si Danci. Haha. ;) Super thank you sa mga soro sisses ni Tina for being there as well.

I'll be posting tons of pics on Multiply soon. Finally, I can again get hold of my stress-free life. I'll be leaving for Tuguegarao this weekend too and Camiguin next week. Super yey!

And oh...c'mon. My passport has finally been renewed. Time to fly...sa Christmas break naman. :)
