summer...summer...summer! :)
Summer, oh summer na...:)Oh c'mon...gimme a break. Ang init na subrah!
After 2 weeks of exams, cramming, futile attempts at studying, and well...frustration, I can finally call today as the start of my vacation. That's despite the fact that I have Red Cross training next week (Holy Monday to Wednesday pa). Red Cross training meant no acad stuff naman so I guess I can just forget there's even such a thing happening next week. Haay...buti na lang may LRT pa. That's a relief.
Another two weeks worth of kwento from me. Syempre, won't concentrate much on my exams.
I had an early break a while ago. Got exempted from my Epidemiology finals. Super happiness. Therefore, I spent the rest of the night cramming for Biochem only...an exam which was the reason for my "no sleep" look today (as Rose and Stephen kept on commenting). If only one's sleep was inversely related to one's grade...ang saya diba? =p
After the no brainer exam (that's a big joke), I went to Julz' grandma's funeral at Greenhills East along with Danci and Trish...kapwa exempted from Epi. What do they always do at funerals? Eat and talk...so that's just what we did. Of course, we still paid respect to the dead naman. After an hour or so, we left (hinatid pa rin kami ni Julz sa Conti's kasi bawal lumabas sa gate ng Greenhills East kung "tao" ka lang...hehe. ;p). Nakita pala namin younger bro ni Julz...at hindi niya kamukha at hindi mataba (hoy Julz...I'm banking on a stereotype here...not comparing him to you or anything else...wala akong sinabing ganyan. =p).
Trish bought cake at Conti's tapos we took a cab all the way to SM Sta. Mesa. Manong driver was so maarte so that's why we ended there. Trish went home while Danci and I rode the train to Gateway to meet up with Joyie and eat at Italianni's. Haha! Treat nila. Ang sweet! ;p
Grabe food. Hindi naubos. We were so full after that I felt like throwing up. Seriously. I didn't even know what we ate basta masarap yung free bread. Kaya ata ako nabusog agad dahil sa lenchebes na tinapay na pinapak ko super. Reminds me of Fazoli's bread sticks. I'm not really fond of authentic Italian food, but I liked what we ate (especially the lettuce =p). Not so much on the pasta. There was blue mussels and clams kasi...I don't really adore those stuff. Haay...anyway, the pasta's to blame for going over the budget. Hindi kinaya ng coupon. =p
Afterwards, we went to play at Timezone. Daming tao. May lecheng mamang nangche-check out. Shit talaga. Buti na lang may nahanap siyang someone RELATIVELY prettier. For a while there, I didn't like being pretty. Hehe. Kapal. =p Kahit sa FX terminal kanina, pinagkakaguluhan ako ng driver. Lenchebes. And I'm in my worst look pa dahil puyat. Uy...=p
Got my LRT ticket replaced na...the one that didn't work before. Aba...kinausap ko yung babae sa counter in English. Ang weird. I selectively converse in English (respeto to the Filipino culture) tapos at that moment, straight English talaga ang lumabas. May something weird ata sa kinain ko sa Italianni's. Buti hindi ako nag-Italian. =p
Ay...last week, had a great weekend. March 21 was Kim's birthday at hindi nga ako nakasama sa Batangas. Kainis. At wala pa rin akong gift kay Kim. Haha. Bad! =p Anyway, last March 23, went to Rockwell's Powerplant Mall for the "make-your-own-havs" event. Buti na lang I read about it sa inet. Went there with Ice, Kim, and sis (the usual). Took me forever to pick out the style I wanted...and in the end, I wasn't that satisfied...much to my sister's frustration. Went window shopping at Rockwell after. Saw several things I wanted to buy, but I have to save up for a new bikini muna. Had semi-dinner at BreadTalk after. Addict ako sa Floss. With nothing much to do and so much time left for the evening, we went to Cainta Junction to go ukay ukay shopping. It was only I who ended up buying something. We went to our house after...Cathe and Kim did some computer stuff, while Ice and I eventually fell asleep.
Last Saturday, the much awaited GVS reunion happened. After much planning and organizing by Del (chief in command =p), Cathe, and I, together with some suggestions from people, meeting place was set in Dencio's Metrowalk. Buti na lang they agreed to reserve tables for us...as long as we were there on tim daw. Went there with sis and the Pahimna sibs, Drei and Madel, since we were on the same subdivision naman eh. Went there early...haay...so we stayed at Starbucks first and met up with Del, Cleia, and Jomik. Cathe, Del, and I indulged ourselves in strawberry lollipops. Sarap. When it was 6pm, we had to go to Dencio's na nga. Since some of the guys were smoking, we were seated in a smoking area on the second floor overlooking the balcony and near the place where the band was set to perform that night. The rest of the GVS people (Batch 1998-2001) came in somewhat late.
Had fun that night. Lots have changed especially with the lower batch people. I barely recognized most of them like some have grown taller. Hirap makipag-chikahan coz the place was noisy when the band started playing tapos long table so malayo kung kakausapin mo pa yung nasa kabilang dulo (I was seated on a far end kasi). Food wasn't that great. I liked Gerry's Grill better. Tapos, nagkagulo pa kami ni Del after dinner while fixing the bill because we just can't figure out who ate the extra/additional stuff and we were on KKB pa naman. Kasalanan ng waiter. Yung San Mig lite lang natanggal sa bill. Marami pang extra. Bwiset talaga. Oh well, at least we had fun.
People started trickling out after dinner. We separated at around 12:30am. Some went to Eastwood pa while the rest went home. It was a memorable night. Although we weren't complete, there was a good number of people present naman. Pics will be posted at my Multiply.
Finally...will get to sleep in my bed already. I've been sleeping in my parent's room since last week pa ata (kasi may TV, aircon, and better lighting). Tomorrow, will be going to Baguio na. Kasama sina Danci, Joyie, at Kim. I think Ice's not going. Aww...

i'm so giddy from happiness...
I am not going to be a killjoy. I am not going to talk about my exams...not yet anyway.***
In the middle of it all, I went to the mall yesterday to do some shopping (for Kim's gift which I still haven't bought). Boy was I totally weirded out when I saw a "sex kit" in Humor Post. Based on how it looked, it's made for a younger market. I did not dare touch it...for fear that the saleslady might think I'm actually interested in buying it. Hehe. ;p Just learned today that it existed eons before I even knew about it and that Humor Post does sell stuff like that. Now I'm the weird one out. I felt like I just came home from another planet. Hehe. :p
Ang mahal na pala ng mga rings (yung nauuso ngayon with the big stones). Yun lang. I guess I have to stick with my old ones.

I have lots to be excited about this week:
GVS reunion this Saturday. I'm so excited to be meeting old friends once again. Actually, I see some of them once in a while naman. Pero this one's grand coz we'll be composed of 4 batches. I wonder how everyone looks like na.
Then the make-your-own-Havs is back. Yey! Finally. I have been searching for the perfect pair for months now. At least this time, I'd be making my own style. Bihirang may kapareha. Issues. Ang selfish ko. Haha! =p Now, I just have to figure out how to have that much money to buy flops and a new bikini for summer...tagoink! o_0

Rhetorical question for the day (ok lang kung sagutin niyo): Can you go swimming in Baguio? If yes, does the people there wear long-sleeved swimsuits? Hehe. :D Excited na ako mag-ukay-ukay at maghanap ng fresh greens. Time to be a rabbit once again. =p Haay...buti pa si Cathe...nag-Sonya's kanina. I'm stuck in school as usual. So highschool talaga. Ano kayang pasalubong niya? Hmm...

2 weeks worth of kwento
Two weeks to go and school's out. I'm still sleeping most of the time instead of studying. How close am I to flunking? *knock on wood super duper dami times* It's getting scary actually.Had a great time yesterday. Lecture in Anatomy was interesting. Twas about reproductive health and all. Haha! ;) Afterwards was a suprise for Niña who was to celebrate her bday today. Gosh...RG sang for her in front of the class. Impromptu thing but well worth it. So sweet. =p We did some cadaver studying after which was better than usual. Dumarami na ang mga tao sa lab coz malapit na ang exams. Whatdyaexpect? =p
Impromptu day it is as Julz, Tina, Cla, and I went to SM to have lunch. Dapat somewhere far wherever Julz' car can take us pero sige na nga...magsawa na sa SM dahil school's about to end na rin naman. Fasting day so nag-Pizza Hut kami. David came din pala. Ayun...surprised we were when the bill came. Don't ask. Napasubo kami pero sige na. Nangyari na. Haha! :P
Eion, after lunch (2pm na rin yon), I went back to school for Biochem lab clearance tapos Katips after. Stayed at Burgundy Place for a while to wait for Kim to finish her thesis tapos Bench Fix after. Sis and I finally had a haircut. Took me months to convince her and I just can't go to the salon alone. Weakness. =p Eion, my bangs were overdue na tuloy. What finally convinced Cathe? Birthday gift ko na yon for her. Story of her birthday later. After having a haircut, we went walking along Katips, bought makeup (basta), then Ice fetched us na. Haay...still won't be able to go to Kim's bday celeb at Batangas. Badtrip na exams yan.
Unfortunately, yesterday, I wasn't able to go to the Heatstroke fashion show for so many reasons. Haay...sorry Trish. I really wanted to go (as in) pero I really can't. Regretting here.

Going back to weeks ago. Monday, March 5. Kim and Ice were here at home again. I'm getting used to them being around. Hehe. Like extra set of sisters. Ang saya. Parang ok ang big family actually. So there...we had pizza for dinner. Pero syempre, mom and I ate rice and chicken sotanghon with that. Kaya tumataba eh. =p
March 7...Cathe celebrated her bday. She had a great morning I heard. ;) Uncle Jaime rin eh...naghintay sa Starbucks for Cathe thinking that she was going home after agad. Hindi pala. Hindi nagkaintindihan. Ayun...naging parang family driver tuloy. =p That night, we had dinner at home with Uncle Jaime and Ate Inday. I just loved the pansit malabon Papa bought. Very tasty. Meron ding mango cake and the very nakakasawa nang Krispy Kreme. Laging may Krispy Kreme dito. Waah na lang talaga.
Then, Papa left that evening for a convention at Hyatt. He was to stay there til Sunday. Uncle Jaime was here to do the driving. That was a week of driving around the metro going back and forth Hyatt and Channel 4 to fetch the media people. Na-tow pa yung kotse sa Manila. Haha! Lagot talaga. We got it back naman. :p
Saturday, I was supposedly studying so I wasn't able to join Kim, Ice, and Cathe in watching a movie. Pero when they got back, we baked some turtle cake (Ice slept pala). Funny coz we had to some improvising since our oven't down (haven't cleaned it since the flood so it's not safe to use pa). It was late evening pa (10pm) so we can't use our neighbor's oven...nakakahiya na. Therefore, we first tried using the oven toaster. Didn't work. Then, we tried the microwave oven. Turned out better as long as it's on med-high. I tried putting the setting on high and well...cake got burnt. =p
Sunday, March 11...we went to fetch Papa at Hyatt. Syempre, Cathe and I did some exploring there din. We fetched Uncle Joven at the airport after. Umuwi lang saglit sa Davao. He brought some mangosteen and durian candies and maraming suha rin. :) Kaya lang, hindi masarap ang lahat ng suha eh...hindi tuloy kami namigay. Baka mali pa mabigay diba. We had lunch at SM MOA (sa Mongkok din bumagsak) then went to Kartimar after to buy a cage for the dogs who are going to be shipped to Davao tomorrow. *aww...*
Monday, March 12. Roselle brought us Krispy Kreme doughnuts again. Waah! Pero sige lang...kain lang. We'll be having a GVS reunion on the 24th and what they'll see is the fat me. Haha! Forget dieting. I even drank Coca-Cola today. O diba? Summer na Diane. Tsk!
Had lunch with my ICS groupmates at Red Ribbon last March 14. Last day to have ICS with them. Haay...great memories. Tapos, Sweet brought us some ref cake. Sarap coz she used peaches. :)

I have lots of things to get excited about. Baguio trip this April 1st. Summer vacation (yep! yep!). Finishing 1st yr Med.
I have some things to not get excited about. Exams this 2 consecutive weeks. Red cross training on the 1st week of April (I'm supposed to be on vacation na!).
Life isn't perfect. Yes I know. =p

I was looking at an old friend's site and I just can't help being jealous of her. Here she is, a flight attendant, exploring the world at a partial price. Haay...only God knows how I'd be able to explore the world as a doctor. If only I can be both - a doctor and a flight attendant - at the same time. :(***
This is getting to be a habit...updating my blog weekly. Much has happened pero I can't help think that most of them are short-lived. Haay...I still want to do more. =p

TUESDAY
High School Musical. Made famous by Disney channel, it's going to have a local theater version this weekend at SM Megamall. Have "wasted" money (I quote my mother) to watch it...with my sister lang. If only we can earn money watching theater plays noh? Halos weekly na rin eh...;pI actually learned about this last Monday sa isang newspaper. Tapos, rushed to Gateway after class last Tuesday to buy the tickets (with barely enough money in my wallet). Asked sis to go to Gateway na rin kasi hindi na ako makakauwi. =p
BreadTalk. Cathe and I went crazy at Gateway's BreadTalk after buying the tickets. Bought lots of bread tapos tinikman namin lahat. Hehe. Sarap!!! Food trip talaga yon. Tapos the other day pa, Cathe brought home calamares from UP. Sarap ng sawsawan...tartar sauce. Ang sosy talaga.
Nakauwi pa naman kami ni Cathe sa bahay after. Pero medyo simot ang mga wallet. Hehe. Iniiwan kasi ang pera sa bahay kaya ayan. We really need to get an ATM card para naman we can withdraw na lang anytime.
WEDNESDAYOnline shopping. Bagong addiction. Enough said. I have 4 new earrings in my jewelry box.

Fairytales. There's this fairytale hype going on. Thanks to Fables. Hello kina Snow Queen (also known as Princess Badr al-Badur), Witch, Little Pink Riding Hood, Aladdin, Mulan, Bear, Rose Red, at Big Bad Wolf. I missed one...er...sino ka nga ba? Hehe. =p Hulaan niyo kung sino ako. ;p

Biochem. Woohoo! :D I passed my 5th exams in Biochem. And hearing my name being said in front of the class was nice. I felt relieved more than anything else.
Physio Role Playing. The best groupmates ko. Ang galing! :) Two days in a row ako 4am natulog just doing some of the props...efforts worth it. Palpak nga lang yung actual acting (or more of doing) naming mga cells but it was okay. Keri pa rin. Next time ulit. :D I actually felt weird doing role playing again. I felt so highschoolish. The only difference is, hormones yung characters ng iba. Good luck na lang talaga. =p

FRIDAY
Cupcakes by Sonja. Sa wakas! Nagdala rin si Cla sa school. Yum! Yum! I've long wanted to try this eh...just haven't got the chance to go to the Fort. Thanks Cla! :)Had lunch with friends at Red Ribbon. Susme! Bad service. Anyway, ang sarap ng bangus ever. =p
Kalahating Oras sa Isang Kumbento. Kim's class had to do a theater production as a requirement and we were there to watch it. Was with Fao, Cathe, and Ice. The play turned eerie towards the end. Took home some of the roses which was part of the props. :)Had dinner at Fazoli's Eastwood after. Wala...hindi na natuloy ang fasting. Eh kasi naman, sa Miriam pa lang, bumili na ako ng burger...all because it had lettuce. Ang rabbit talaga. =p Sa Fazoli's naman, I had pesto and chicken...and a dose of everyone else's food. Cathe and Fao were not tempted to forego their fasting...aba! Nag spaghetti in tomato sauce lang. Yelch! Oh well...at least everyone had a dose of bread sticks.
Waited for Steph after, chika-ed, exchanged phone games, then home we were.

Kris - James - Hope. Sikat talaga sila lately. Kampi ako with Kris. I super hate "mistresses". Yun lang. Enough with the media hype. Let them be. Let them deal with their own personal problems.
James looks stupid in TV. Weird. Have you noticed he has a gap in between his two upper incisors?
Political ads. One political ad after another. Ayan na naman sila. The best si Pichay...ITANIM sa Senado. Haha. =p Tapos nandyan pa ang feud ng Recto brothers. Look at what politics can do. It can make or break not only a country but a family as well.
On soulmates. Fine. Serious talk. Soulmates. Parang Anne Curtis at Luis Manzano. Asus! Showbiz. Haay...enlighten me on the concept of "soulmates" ha. Sabi kasi nila, you don't necessarily end up with your soulmate. Then? Basta...natutuwa lang ako with Cathe...and her "soulmate". I'm just teasing her. Paano ba naman kasi, ang dami nilang similarities. Tapos, kung nasan si Cathe, bigla na lang sumusulpot yung guy. Baka meant to be. Sis, umalis ka na sa ere kung san ka nakalutang. Lech* talaga.
