wishlist: part 2
There's a part 1...go search for it in the archives.1. I want the Disney trip. Aunty's promise.
2. The perfect black satin headband. Went to Divi yesterday in search for it...to no avail.
3. I want a concealer. #4 ata ako sa Body Shop.
4. Olay Total Effects...o sige na nga. Si Papa at si Danci, gusto nito. Ako na nga rin. Give me lots of bottles para ipapamigay ko rin. =p
5. A hair spa treat at Bench Fix.
6. This nail polish that's somewhat pinkish, gold, and platinum combined. Ang weird but I think it's the perfect alternative to the usual tan color.
7. Treat niyo ako sa Vicky Belo clinic. No. Hindi ako magpaparetoke noh. Basta. Dalhin niyo ako don. ;p
8. A mat. Gusto ko pa ring mag Judo roll. Hehe. :)
9. My own condo. Ooops...I take that back. Pag internship siguro. (That's real wishful thinking.)
10. Magic carpet (for more travels) at genie in a bottle (for more wishes). Haha. Just joking.
***Marami pa akong wishes eh...pero I'm not saying it na lang. Baka kusang magkatotoo. ;)***
168 shopping tips.
Mama and I went to 168 Mall yesterday. Went home SUPER TIRED.
My advise to those who'll be going there for Christmas shopping: Go there really early. They open at around 8am naman. By 11am, people will be over the place. You'll be spending half of your time working your way around elbows and feet.
Please don't bring a car. Kaya lang, make sure you can withstand the heat in the jeepney because it gets kinda traffic on a Christmas season. Wear comfy footwear...think about risks. Flops - as long as you don't mind being stepped on and getting dirtied. Sneaks - you'll still be stepped on, but make sure you turn in your sneaks after for laundrying. Wear appropriate clothing. It's quite warm despite the aircon. If you want to fit clothes, make sure you can don whatever it is that you're fitting on top of your clothing. Don't ask for a fitting room.
If you're already shopping for lots of people (which my Mama and I postponed for the meantime), think of buying wholesale. Items are cheaper when bought wholesale. I know of this store...they sell shoes for 280 bucks. On wholesale, it costs around 200 na lang. One time big time buying na. :)
I bought lots of items...all for myself. Speak about Christmas shopping for friends. Yeah...I know. I'm selfish. Hehe. :p
I finally got a taste of castañas. Haha! Talk about being deprived. As usual, I went crazy for fruits. I'm going there next time to buy more fruits.
I went home. Didn't have the chance to study. Half finished my pack of kiat kiat (gawd...is my spelling right). Slept (with no dinner).
Last tip: Workout before shopping. Drink lots of energy drinks. Haha! :)

tappity-tap...there goes my happy feet. :)
Had a fun day today. As planned, I watched "Happy Feet" today with some classmate friends. Went to school quite late because I was too busy choosing my outfit. I decided not to wear my uniform today and months away from UP seemed to have taken its toll on my ability to mix and match clothes. Fashionista waning. At least my weird perky social self is picking up. Anyway, finally settled for my black top which my sister likes to borrow, watched a bit of TV (it was all about Manny Pacquiao naman), and got to school to finally meet up with friends only to realize that most of them were wearing dark tops like I was. Coincidence I must say. We went to Ana Amphi after to watch videos about the heart and lungs. At around 11am, we rounded up everybody and went to Gateway. We bought tickets first for a 2:35pm show. We were running quite late for the first show at 12:15pm anyway so we decided to eat lunch first, do some bonding, and take lots of pictures. We had a hearty lunch at the foodcourt messing up the table arrangement because we simply couldn't fit in a single table. After eating, we checked out some things at the bazaar. Good thing it reopened. Haay! Succumbed to buying earrings again. Still counting...and deducting Christmas money.
Well, as for "Happy Feet", it was fun to watch. Now I wanna tap dance. Haha! Frustrations. =p Honestly, I would love to take dance and singing lessons. Buti pa penguins...they have classes for that. Hehe. ;)
We didn't have a whole row of seats at the cinema...almost though. We were still quite many. Couples aplenty...Danci and Joyie (they just had to watch it together), Nina and RG, Tina and David (yika!), and surprise surprise! Rey and Quincy coming in last. Surprisingly, they were seated on the same row as ours. And we thought they weren't watching. Of course there were several other people who were either single or without their partners...Tita Ivy, Hanni, Roselle, Tin L., Ariane, Chino, Andrei, Shan, and Clar (hope I didn't miss anyone out). Not to be missed are Cla and Sweet who joined us for lunch.
One weird thing today though...it seemed as if we were attracting too many guards today. The one in LRT told us to tone down our voices when we were talking. Like duh?! There were even noisier people before. Why now? Ayun...Tita Ivy (who I think would've been a great activist given a chance to have studied in UP) went to LRT Cubao's office to complain of that security guard (she saw his name...poor he). Second incident, when we were buying tickets for the movie, we were sort of situated at the end of the line (although the line shouldn't have even started there naman) talking while waiting for Tina and David to buy the tickets. This guard suddenly came up to tell us to move farther away since we were sort of blocking the way. Haha! Very cool day for guards. There's got to be some tag on our backs luring guards towards us.
Took the FX from Cubao going home. Better than taking the train. I've been having problems at the terminal in Santolan. There's always a long line because of lack of shuttle and of shuttles not leaving even if they're full already. So weird. Anyway, the ride from Cubao to our place is cheaper...25 bucks for one whole ride compared to uhm (let me do my math first)...28 bucks for the train, fx, and jeep.
Don't you think it's too hot lately? No Christmas cold drafts eh? =p
We have the food committee and movie committee now. Sports committee coming up next. ;)

since everyone's been making their christmas wishlists already...
I decided it's time to make my own as well like I usually do.Here goes my very hopeful and materialistic wishlist (sans the pics this time...tinatamad ako):
1. Nintendo DS of any color...sige na nga...preferably ung light blue. Dali na! Malalaos na yan so mas mura na siguro. ;p
2. New cellphone? Ngerk! Not a priority. Skip this one. (Sinulat ko pa...toink!)
3. Ballet flats o kahit na anong closed shoes.
4. Gold flipflops from Ipanema (Shoe Salon). Mura lang yon. I once tried to buy it kaya lang naisip ko, umaapaw na slippers dito at iba priority ko. Kung magbibigay kayo ng flops (especially ung sa Ipanema), thank you very much! :)
5. A really nice watch. I've been searching shops for months already kaya lang masyado ata akong mapili. Basta I wanted something with glittery studs. Naubos na nga ata yung inipon kong money for a watch. Try being maarte for a day, look for a watch, then buy it. Bigay niyo sa akin after. Hehe. ;p
6. Foot socks that won't show when I wear my school shoes and won't slip off my feet while I'm walking. They cost around 50 bucks. Bigyan niyo ako ng marami.
7. A Wacoal bra. Obvious bang fave ko yon? Preferably in white or skintone. :)
8. New pants. No time to shop eh. I'm more choosy when it comes to pants as compared to choosing watches so...alam niyo na yon. Wala akong nabibili. Haha. =p
9. Earrings. Gusto ko yung gaya ng drop pearl earrings ni Kris Aquino. Fave niya yon. The more she wears it, the more I drool. Oops! I'm not a dog pala.
10. Fables...some kinda comic book. Naaliw ako eh. Cathe borrowed some from a friend and there are still more to be read. :)
11. Spa treatment. I just need to relax.
12. My own car. Shux! Very long overdue pop. o_0
13. A chowchow. Waah!
14. These pair of perfume at Body Shop. I'll check on it's name soon. Basta, it's more than 1 thou.
15. A new swimsuit. :)
16. A ticket to a theater play.
17. A cute blouse/shirt.
18. A Sims 2 CD with all of its expansion packs.
19. A new DVD/CD burner. Our's busted.
20. A bigger, fluffier pillow for my place in the van. Ay...gusto ko ata yung antibacterial pillow like the one JL has. :)
21. Med books. Better start collecting expensive med books for 2nd year. Not a priority. Hehe. =p
22. A Magic Sing. Tsk!
23. A trip to Bora. We have to go there by December. :)
24. Last but not the least, money. Haha. :) Ako na lang bibili pag ayaw niyong magshopping. =p
***I'll be adding more soon. ;)

This is a free country...so be it.
This is the shitty day I was expecting. God knows how many times I've been frustrated today and it's so not me. Therefore, before I lose my head here, I just wanna lose all these steam and write...negative as my thoughts are right now. I believe this is a free country, moreso this is my own blog. If anyone feels offended, just do your own stuff. Today is what I call as my "lazy" day. I almost came to school late because I didn't drop myself off at the train station. Hello! It was 6:45am, and I'd probably be in school at around 7:15am. Therefore, instead of being early, I decided I'd rather stay in the van to bring my sis to UP and ride the 7:30am train. Being late pisses me off. My bad. Oh well...at least, I wasn't too early. And besides, the prof came in late.
As if that wasn't enough, I had a very frustrating first lecture for the day. I felt like I've learned nothing because the prof was really confusing, and I just had this impression she wasn't prepared at all. Oh spare me! I decided I'll flunk the quiz instead. Nyark! Now, the interesting "cardio" intro went down the drain for me.
Again, as if those weren't enough, our professors for Ana just didn't show up for our Gross Lab session. It wasn't an independent lab period noh. All of us were left clueless as to what we would do with our poorly chosen cadavers. We may have a manual, but heck! That wasn't enough. Buti pa sina Mang Nonoy at Mang Ben (maintenance). They were an even bigger help. We had to call our profs pa just so they'd go to the Gross Lab. Then, what do I hear. One of them complaining that she only gets a measly 9thou or so salary. Then quit teaching then. Then suddenly, more of them came. One of them helped us remove our cadaver's heart. Another came to complain that we (or one of her colleagues) didn't cut the heart properly, keeping the vessels intact. Eh di sana dumating siya earlier to tell that diba? Just how frustrating can this situation be?
Next, our afternoon schedule was changed. Instead of a 1-3pm class, we had a 2-5pm class, which was later changed to a 3-5pm class, and then a 2:30pm to sawa class. Ha! The first afternoon class session was given to section A, when I believe should have been given to us instead. I could have gone home earlier. At least we were dismissed at around 3:30pm. If not for a proper lecture from the guest speaker...ewan.
Then, we just had to redo and finish our PD1 paper. Honestly, nainis ako sa isa kong groupmate for not bringing his transcription of the interview we did. Lost it, he said. I guess that was forgivable as long as he does not do that again. But what really got me pissed was when he said he'd go home to find it. For what then is the weekend? He could have tried finding it then. And to think of it, I reminded him of it a week ago. Sheesh!
The best part of this day would have to be lunch with my big group of lunchmates. We also celebrated Cess' birthday. Took lots of pictures. However, may lumusot pa rin. The cake we bought didn't exactly match our specifications. We even talked to Goldilocks (SM Sta. Mesa) manager last Friday for our cake's design because his staff was stupid. We were told we couldn't get a fruity mocha cake with an all banana topping so we settled for the variety of fruits instead. But no! We still got the Christmas motif toppings. Kung ako kumuha non, lagot talaga sila. I'm actually thinking of complaining online. Pati yung Jollibee sa Makro Cainta, irereklamo ko.
Last frustration: having no signal from noon till late afternoon. Haay! Ang SUN...pumalpak. May araw pa nga.
Oh well...
It's Mama's birthday tomorrow. I'm actually excited. We even bought her a present na. May bagong negosyo kami ni sis. Hehe! :)
O diba? Musta ang transition? =p

happy days ain't over :)
Just finished watching bits of PDA awhile ago, and I realized that I miss my self-defense classes. If only I had a big mat at home. I swear...I'd probably be rolling everyday til my back's sore. Haha! :)I had a great day today. In fact, I've been having some really great days lately. Sometimes, I get scared about it coz you know the saying...after all the happiness, shit will happen.
We had a "UP day" today since we only had ILP and ISP scheduled. Thanks to Roselle who told us she'd treat us to streetfood (dirty ice cream and isaw) and surprisingly treated us to dinner as well. First, had lunch with Ivy, Roselle, Hanni, Tin, and Arianne at Kenny's. It was pasta craving most of us were having. We fixed our surprise for Cess' birthday on Monday. Then, Tin left and was replaced by Tina. Off we rode the LRT and the jeepney to UP amidst our own noises and chatter. It was really fun despite the hour ride to UP...thanks to Balara's traffic.
We took lots of jeepney rides inside UP, finished some things we have to do, then went to eat isaw (etcetera) at Mang Larry's. That was the main itinerary. After getting full and all, we met up with Quincy and Rey and had dinner at Mang Jimmy's. To many "Mang" this and that noh? Anyway, we had this really big 8 course meal (actually there were only 4 viands but 2 of each kind) and some soup (plus Super Thin pa pala). We were really full after. Too many leftovers. Took some pictures then left after. Saw some fireworks at UP pa.
Basta. We had an awesome day today. I just love being with many people (pag hindi ako tinotopak), laughing, and talking about anything under the sun. That's what we simply did.
Anyway, we went home quite late so I took the LRT na lang from Katips to Santolan coz there were no FX around, and I just wouldn't ride a jeepney at that time. Went home just in time for my TV show. ;p
As for Danci who simply didn't show up, boohoo!
How did this all came to be? Well, I did one of the craziest things I can ever do yesterday. I instantly joined "Heads On" which was some kind of trivia show in school. That's not me eh. Well, Roselle and I just wanted to have fun. Had Roselle, Tin, and Rey as my groupmates (Hamburger group, #13 it is). I just have one thing to say: "Masakit ba Kuya Eddie?" Haha! :D That was really crazy. Unfortunately, short of about 3 points, we didn't make it to the final round, but in the hype of it all, along Aurora Blvd, and amidst all the pollution, we just decided to go to UP the day after. Oh well...better to make plans late so that you barely have reasons for changing your mind after. You get what I mean?
We also started eating lunch together with about 15-20 classmates. Thanks to Mang Nonoy. The more the merrier. :)
Anyway, I'm just as excited for next week. Will probably watch "Happy Feet" with a big number of the class. That should be fun. I wonder how many rows of seats we'll take up in the cinema. ;p

my not so lazy Friday
I slept 8 hours today...from 6pm to 2am. Now, it's half past 3 in the morning and I'm still wide awake. My sched's not really full as always. Spent the last 3 days this week on ISP's...so no class. Boohoo!
We only had a really short lecture awhile ago...oops! I meant yesterday, Friday, so Cla, Julz, and I took the LRT together up to Gateway. I was supposed to buy tickets for the "Sound of Music" (which didn't exactly happen because the tickets are sold out for the weekend so my sis and I decided to think about it) and Julz and Cla were supposed to go home. But no! We decided to hang around for a little bit, ate our junkie lunch, went around boutiques, ended up watching "The Covenant" (which isn't about vampires!), and (suprisingly) finished a big bucket of popcorn. Haha! =D It was all firsts: been one of the earliest people in the mall and were the first people in the cinema for the movie's first show that day. Insert: it's my first time in cinema 5 so it was kinda shocking to see it was big...unlike Gateway's other cinemas. Hanni and Roselle went with us to the movie as well. We went home after...orange lips and fingers (at least for me). =p So much for the long day.
I got my grades and ranking as well for last sem. It wasn't so bad...although the grades may seem quite weird for someone from UP. I didn't make it to the top 10 (as if noh!) but with the flunked exams and all, I was really surprised with my ranking. Hulaan niyo na lang...fave number ni Papa at Cathe.
So there...better upload pics at Multiply na...mostly from my Tita's birthday last Saturday (Nov.4). Been at NCWP again and had party food: cake, softdrinks, water (for me), pandesal, and luncheon meat. Hehe! Long explanation. :D Not to worry...my family ate real dinner after (around 11pm) at Jade Palace. Watch out for my sis' video. Haha! :)

share, hears, hares, shear, reash...am making that up. =p
One big realization this sembreak: I almost forgot how to pray the rosary.
Like usual Octobers, Our Lady of Fatima (the image ha) visited our home last week. Mama asked me to lead the rosary coz I usually do that BEFORE. I felt like I was playing some kind of game...flipping pages, reading familiar-and-now-not-familiar prayers, and debating with Mama and sis about the "mystery" for that day (in between praying). Shux! And to think of it, I used to recite the rosary by heart. I used to memorize everything up to the long Litany and now...errr.
It's all coming back to me now.
Corny.
I'm definitely getting old.
Sis and I prayed the rosary again last night and I think I'm remembering things again. Now, I think it's my sister who needs help. Hehe! :) She's a member of the Legion of Mary pa naman. Lagot! =p
